"I am so excited to see the dream of Azalea Academy come to life. I was born and raised in Lowndes County. I graduated from Valdosta State University with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood (PK-5) and received my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction (PK-12) from Thomas University. I worked for Lowndes County Schools for 13 years. During that time, I taught each grade PreK through 5th grade, was a member of the leadership team, and became a STEM teacher leader through Project Lead the Way. The last 5 years,  I worked as an Intervention Specialist, integrating numerous research based methods to remediate specific areas of struggle in Reading and Mathematics. One trend was always apparent, early intervention and a quality preschool education proved to be critical to a child's long term educational success. That's where the idea of Azalea Academy came to life."
